    does stainless react with galv

HI guys ive bit the bullet and currently in the process of getting a galvy chassis and sourcing new shiny bits to replace when I do the swap. now the problem ive got is I was going to get all stainless bolts and fittings for the rebuild but have read recently that if stainless comes into...

    Chassis and bulkhead replacement costs?

I would say do it yourself, its hard and it drains the effing life out of you at times but you learn the ins and outs of the old girl and you know everything is done to your spec and standard, it might take a bit longer but it will be worth it. Ive seen galvanised bulkheads on ebay for 700...

    trailing arms/ radius arms

Hi guys not to sound to much of a dunce, but at what size lift do you need to start adding cranked radius arms and what degrees for what size lifts etc.

    Line X paint

A galvy chassis is like 1500 quid if not a little more this option will cost me no where near that, that is basically the only reason why I haven't gone the galvy route buddy. and to be honest even if I got a galvy I'd still look at doing the line x just for durability reasons when off...

    Line X paint

Hi guys ive been mulling this over a lot lately. im in the process of welding up my chassis and the waxoyl has been a night mare to clear away. So im planning on having the whole thing cleaned back to metal then a rust treatment then paint, the usual chassis overhaul. but I seen a...

    sorting this chassis

Thanks dan I never thought of it like that, the line x stuff is meant be quite tough and robust like so don't know if I would get any lifting issues with it and im sure its guaranteed for like 15 years or something like that, but know you've mentioned lifting I don't know if I wanna chance it...

    sorting this chassis

what do you guys think about the line x paint on the chassis, or should I stick to waxoyl, or a friend of mine recommended Schultz. I was thinking line x because its polyurethane based so technically putting a strng plastic coating over the chassis.

    sorting this chassis

Right after seeing dans thread "I only wanted to paint the rear crossmember" im gunna attempt to weld my own chassis and jump in at the deep end. the question I want ask you guys is, is it possible to weld it to a decent standard without stripping it down to bare chassis, as I haven't really...

    Time for a lift

I suggested wheel spacers cuz obv if im increasing ride height im increasing centre of gravity aswell, so with wheel spacers this would help to counter it, or would this not be something to worry about with a 2" lift ??? So using spring spacers and lower turrets would be ok for a lift job...

    Time for a lift

Right im going to give my fender a lift. got some questions I need answering as im clueless to the best way to go about it. option 1 - 2" lift using current springs with 2" inch spacers and -2" turrets and shock mounts for rear. option 2 - just buy a full kit bigger springs and big shocks...

    headlining

carpet times :p well I was planning on lining it with camping mats under the headlining if I ever find one. but I like the idea of getting the measurements making a jig stretching some fleece over it and fibre glassing my own and then lining it in some acoustic cloth or something, that way I...
