    Defender as a daily...

I use my 200tdi 110 every day, I'm self employed and it is my working and only vehicle. Got it last October, have done 12k so far with no major issues only little niggles.

Used Land Rover Defender world... lies, lies and more lies....

I wouldn't be suprised at that milage statement personally - many Defenders, especially older ones are likely to have been used on a farm or similar, where they don't need to travel very far, just from field to field in any weather. Hence the low milage? I may be very wrong on this, but it's my...

    changing alternator belt?

Hi all, I'm struggling here, and yes I am an idiot with very little mechanical knowledge! I have a 110 that was originally a 2.5NA I believe, but has been fitted with a 200tdi by a previous owner. This morning I went out to find yesterday at some point the alternator drive belt had snapped...

    tyre woes!

well the outcome was they fixed the flat wheel, apparently there was a sticker on the inside of the tyre rubbin against the inner tube, caused a puncture. I enquired if I could expect the same problem on the other three tyres, and was told "probably not"... they were also unable to balance the...

    tyre woes!

To be honest the only reason I didn't name and shame in the first post was that at least one of the other forums I post on has a definite no naming policy, resulting in warnings and bans. And I couldn't be arsed to try and find the rules for this site, and trawl through them... but if it saves...

can you get one of these for a land rover?

well thanks a lot everyone, it looks like making my own might be the best option! for some reason I often get my hopes up that I will be able to buy exactly what I want for exactly the price I want to pay, and as a result get let down often...

can you get one of these for a land rover?

Hi all, I have a 110 pickup (non hi cap) and every now and then have to carry longer items - ladders, 12' wooden rails, etc. My method so far has been to tie them down to the tailgate and resting on the cab roof, so as not to stick out too far backwards and possibly overbalance! What I would...
