Thanks Stu I have a problem though and can't get new rubbing strips, i've seen some aftermarket ones but there nothing like the originals. There are a few odds and ends available but not a full set so looks like i'll have to leave it painted with these which is a shame. I'm looking into...

Shell is painted and the chassis is being re built

Labour is ontop of the £8k parts bill, by the time i'm finished with new engine, re paint and interior trim the cost of the project will be over £25k

Thanks Geoff. It won't really look a great deal deal better on the outside as it looked pretty good to start with, its almost a shame that all the hard word etc will be covered over. I'm looking forward to the first test drive but that's still a little way off yet

Total hours to now is around 400, parts & materials is over £8000

Flipped the chassis over to spray the top side, won't be long before we have a rolling chassis

Yes im happy how its turned out, just need to flip it over and do the top side Engine went over to JE today

Chassis has been cleaned up and rubbed down to give it a key and sprayed the underside with 3M shutz

Shell is in the paintshop and the chassis is back from the galvanizers

Final prep on the engine bay Engine and box cleaned & separated, the air tank and control box back from the powder coaters. Just need a chassis now

The headlining is scrap and will be replaced :)

A few pics sealing the shell with 3M body sealer etc, have a few more areas to do and then it's off into the paintshop.

Maybe if they live all their life on the south coast in the sunshine :) If they're up north then i doubt they'd be any better
