I wouldnt consider the work you need to do to your disco as major as taking out the entire sill of a D1. Admitted its in an akward position but its not bad really. Ive done a lot of welding on mates vehicles and only charged 20 or 30 quid to cover gas ! I need to re-evaluate my charges...

£280 to patch a sill and you have to make the cuts ? Im in the wrong job ! The last discovery sill i patched i patched with a brand new inner and outer sill. Reckon i should start taking on work like this if thats what it pays.

AH found them :) To be fair it dont look bad, all easy repair work . Your lower door posts and mine :) Yours is a small amount of cutting out the rot and patching, The redi disco i did was a little more of a job than patching. What is it with discos and dogs :D

The most solid part of the rear cross member was the center bit the rest was rust. After i had finished with it you couldnt tell it had had a repair, it was one job i was really pleased with.
