200 or 300tdi are the best engines to go for, bullet proof diesels that will go on forever if regularly maintained. As has been said check for rust everywhere. Especially body mounts,bulkhead and rear crossmember as these are costly repairs unless you can weld. Good luck in your search and...

We drove that beach many times. I got to know all the lads on the base so well we could go on to camp and "borrow" one of the military landies to go hunting for firewood on the beach.:D

I worked behind the bar when Big Ronnie was bar manager and the military base was still fully manned. The place was bouncing, that place taught me to work all day and drink all night. We had many all night parties on the beach behind the hotel. God knows how we did it and survived.:cool:

I never hit the hub directly, just use a chisel to get between them. Always worked for me.
