Hi all, I got a spare ECU today I want to test in my TD5. Is it safe to test the new used ECU just by swapping or do I have any issues because AS10 is blocking then? Or in other words, do I have to pair the new ECU with AS10 and to pair again my old ECU after test with AS10? Thanks & Best Mario

Good question, it's noname battery it has 100Ah and cold start current of 800A....The battery is 2 year old....

Battery was fully charged, also bleeding with pedal purge trick, nothing helped. Copper washers are new (1 year), also tried a different set of injectors. Fuel temp is always 1°C above coolant temp when I start. I will try a new main relay, because this one is not new.

Yes I know, the glow plug LED is not coupled with the glow plug itself. My glow plugs are running for 14 seconds maximal, then they are turned off by ECU, I've measured it. Is that too little?

Same issue here, I've tried it with/without glow plugs - no difference. The issue starts at 5°C....The glow plugs are 1 year old....

I think a real blocker will be the immobiliser, you have to fit this also in the Defender. Next will be safety stuff like ABS, it could be possible that this will limit the power of the engine because brakes are not working. Besides of this you will get a lot of errors but they will not block...

Hi all, my idle speed is not steady within a certain temperature window, it's like more elongated waves between 720 - 760 revs. When I disconnect the Ambient Pressure sensor, the idle gets steady at 740 revs after some seconds. The pressure level look good in Nanocom. I've cleaned the sensor...

My old TD5 has 400.000km on it's clock never touched an injector (expect repacing copper rings), running a bit rough but ok. Touched (cleaned and checked them) the injectors on my current TD5 170.000km caused some trouble....If they are running, i've never touched them again.

Yeah, I know that the map file will not fix a bug in common way. My hope was that the map file contains a "fixed" value for the control loop because of the oscillating nature of the issue...on the other side, I don't want to brick my ECU for a pointless remapping if something went wrong...thats...

Hi all, my 110 TD5 MY2002 15P has the map svloe002-svtnp003 installed. Does it make sense to install one of the later released maps svloe004-svtnp003 or svloe005-svtnp005? Does someone knows the difference? Best Mario
