He will know im lying because i dont know enough about land rovers and engines. Plus he will prob know straight away what im doing, because ive been goin onabout it to him for a couple of days. If this is left untreated, could it damage the engine?

He prob would if he knew the reason for me jacking it up. He thinks thats the top speed it should do, and thinks thats fast enough. He wont phone anyone about it, and thinks its fine.

I would but im not exactly going to go behind my dads back. He said No, and is going to leave it as it is... :(

even though the old engine was knackered, i still remember it having the same problem. Its ussaly my dad that messes with that. I remember i played with it when we got it back because it wouldnt start. But we got that fixed

So if it turns it means its not and then thats not the problem?

How? can you just try by pushing it and seeing if it moves? or do you have to jack it up?

I think thats what its in. Its set in high and to the right. the difflock is to the left.

Hey thanks for reply. I just went out and checked forward is for Low Middle is for Normal And straight back is for High, its always left in high... if that helps

Hi, its pulled back towards the seat. i think it has 3 ranges. Forward, middle, and straight back. Thing forward is low. cant remember what middle is. And back is high. So if i change that, that would help?

I think transmission holding the engine back. The engine has power and it can go but going up to 50mph it gets loud and feels like im pushing the engine.... The engine has just been built and we are trying to run it in. But up to 50 it really struggles and feels like im pushing it. I dont really...

Sorry that was a typo. i ment to say gearbox or something like that. The old engine did have the same problem. But that engine was toterly knackered and had it.
