    disco GS Sunroof drains

Thanks for the picture and info, very useful. Just for the record, can the pipes which vanish into the A pillar, Do they exit the pillar? Can they be got at from underneath the vehicle? Also! I'm guessing, that if the seal is good, there shouldn't be any water in the tray at all. (tray...

    disco GS Sunroof drains

Once again thanks to both of you for your time. I must say, my sunroofs are not leaking, so I don't have a problem. But prevention is always better than cure. I suppose the best way might be to poor water into the drain area and see where it emerges. But not had a chance to try it yet. :D RichardG

    disco GS Sunroof drains

Thanks for your reply and thanks for checking your disco out. According to the workshop manual there are drain tubes fitted to the internal frame of each sunroof, but there is no indication as to where these pipes exit. If a blockage occurs it is usually best to blow it back rather than further...

    disco GS Sunroof drains

Hello, Just bought myself a 52plate GS and I'm chuffed to bits with it. Been going round it today cleaning and polishing as you do with a new rover. And noticed while doing the roof that water doesn't appear to be draining away from the sunroof gutters, although I have no leaks inside. My...

    Td5 Firing Problem

I suppose if you had a good multimeter, you could check the resistance of each solenoid, to find the faulty one. If it is faulty that is ;) RichardJG

    Td5 Firing Problem

Sounds like the injector solenoid has sealed the spill port off, which obviously allows fuel to be pumped into the cylinder at a great rate and totally out of control. Suspect a faulty injector, but also might be a computer/electrical fault. It looks as though it's going to be expensive whatever...

    4x4 Gas Guzzlers

Hi polluters, :D Getting really sick of being branded a major polluter 'cos I run a dirty 4x4, which I find to be economical, safe and a pleasure to drive, plus the fact it is the only vehicle that will pull a decent sized caravan etc. without falling foul of the law. So after hearing on the...

    Vacuum pipes on 1994 Disco

eightinavee, Thanks for the reply, I was begining to think that nobody knew. Your answer sounds about right, that would account for the noise from the heater unit prior to start up. I have the workshop manual for the '95 model (on pdf) which is sadly not the same as mine. So once again thanks...

    Vacuum pipes on 1994 Disco

Hello, Just had a brake servo failure due to a split pipe, the pipe is about 1/4" od and a 1/16" bore and attaches to a tee piece which is inserted in the main vacuum pipe. Can anyone tell me where the other end goes, it shoots off between the bulkhead and the rear of the engine, out of sight...
