Yeah i had to cut them off because the buggers where so seized, well i have managed to get the trailing arms off but the rubber bushes are still left on the chassi so i'll have to figure out how to get them out, are they in two pieces? like the poly bushes are.

Trouble is it's a bit far for me to collect, what's involved in swapping the 2.5tdi for a 200tdi? Do any of the engine mounts need changing? If it wasnt a big job then i would do it but i have no idea what is involved.

Thanks for the offer i might take you up onn that if i get it. I have just done an insurance quote for me as a named driver and it was only £836 which i think is cheap seings you would probably pay that for a 1.1 fiesta. I'll let you know :)

well i think a v8 is slightly too powerful for a first car, i think i'll just go for it if it stays cheap enough.
