had a similar thing on my 200tdi, problem was the clutch damper leaking

Have you ruled out the alpine windows, they can leak and soak the roof lining, give it a water test with a hose pipe but try not to wet the sunroof.

i am fairly sure the bearing is ok, will it fail MOT on the cv joint?

My 200tdi is due its MOT, needs new sills and a couple of brake pipes, no problem, but theirs a clunck noise coming from the front drivers side wheel area but only when i turn hard left. Checked brakes and discs, spring and shocks all ok. Any ideas?

i will give the gearbox a good clean i have been through a load of crap lately, would this make a difference

it dosen't grind or crunch the cogs its just very stiff into 1st and reverse especially when stationary

My 200tdi is on 208,000 miles and still going strong, the body will go long before the engine ever dose.:p

yes its the same beep noise, but i have made sure all doors are shut, i supose there could be a fault on the door sensor,but then would it beep constantly.

just wondering if there is an audible alarm on the td5 for any faults.
