when i rebuild the heads i was going to fit strech bolts do they need to be torked or do you just tighten them up. thanks

hi rebuilding my disco v8 4.oltr. i will replace the head bolts with stretch bolts. do they have to be torked down or do you just tighten up in the correct sequence. many thanks:mad:

hi i am rebuilding my disco 2 v8. when built will i be able to just fire it up with out connecting the water side for a few secounds rather than fit the rad back in, in case i have to break it down again. just make sure i have fuel side ok and electrics right. thanks

hi can any body advise whats the differnce between composite gaskets and the old tin ones. can you get away with a slightley warped head with these comp gaskets. also if need be does any body know who can machine the heads in the huntingdon peterborough area:mad: thanks

hi thinking of changing the engine. had the heads done 2 years ago but its gone again. would a 3.9 v8 out of a rangrover fit my disco ,and would the fuel injection and the rest of the bits fit on the 3.9. this new to me so i need help getting the right engine. many thanks:mad:

hi any body help. had a major desaster rad blew lost water , but managed to get home. oil is not emuisified but may of over heated the auto box. now the car wont start, when its turned over it wants to start but wont have it. could the head gasket of blown but like i said oil is ok and engine...

hi any body help ,got a smelly cat changed sensors and cats fitted new air mass sensor and running well just get the wiff of sulper and was on the fence on emissions. one surgestion was adaptive reset of the ecu how do you do this . thanks for all your help

hi any body help how do you remove the airconditioning atc consul with the temperature and heated windscreen switches. do the fan speed and other switches light up. the led temp is light up but not the bottom row. thanks

no not lpg. somtimes just starts up and runs ok tonight started and was slugish unitl warmed up. have swopped plugs cats sensors ,not sure what to next. thanks

hi any body help still having problems when cold ,when hot goes like a jet. changed 2 cats plus sensors ,just lack of power when just started ,up a few miles down the road goes like hell. any body got any idea before i go and get it on text book. thanks guinness
