Again would you be able to hear that easily, the noise is honestly loud and annoying and passers by can hear it from a good 20 feet away.

Ok I will give it ago tomorrow on axle stands in 1st gear, any ideas if no noise happens??? Or possible outcomes??

The vehicle has to literally be moving to get any sound from it, I had it on axle stands at the weekend just emptying oil and ran engine afterwards because I gunked some of the engine but no noise present, does need to be about 1 mile into driving.

It doesn't get any louder or noiser on bends, just as annoying as straight.

Sorry see what u mean now, the noise just slows down when braking and starts straight back up again when going off again. It sounds to me like it is possibly coming from passenger front side but obviously cannot be 100 percent sure as I am always driving. Would the wheel bearing or transmission...

No it is not noisier under braking it literally just slows down the ticking noise and when car comes to standstill so does noise??:confused:

may sound daft but i swear it is worse in the heat too but not 100%!!! temperature guage etc is all the same though!

should also add i am female, i know most car parts on it but not all!!!

ok no it does not make the noise when stationary, as i slow down it slows down too, it does not get faster if i rev the engine. Only time i hear it is if the car is moving, it happens in all gears:confused: Any suggestions???

front passenger footwell is dry, we have rubber mats so would have shown but did check anyhow. something i did notice with the coolant is that when i checked it yesterday it was just above minimum and today when i checked it , it was just below minimum so guessing leaking somewhere???

hi sorry, yeah it is a 1.8 k servies engine, i have had a landrover guy look over it and the ird is fine, this was the first thing we thought it could be, annoying this is the sound comes and goes. are there any home tests we can do regarding the coolant??
