Exactly right, I'm dubious about the chip benefit but others reassure that it takes into account the better breathing and adjust the fuel mixture to take advantage. One further possible add on is the LPG. As you said though Cost Benefit? Perhaps this should be taken to a new thread? Know...

Janspeed offer a full S/S direct replacement exhaust system (no cat) (try Roadrunner Motorsport) £351. Should last forever and give better performance. Janspeed also assure that no cat is needed on diesel engines however I'm not getting rid of mine until I'm certain.
