    series 3 steering guard

Thanks for the input guys. I noticed yesterday that some times the steering rods would be pushing through the ground. I'm going to look into the prices for uprated rods and make my decision on my financial situation I think.

    series 3 steering guard

hi all. Ive been doing a bit of resaerch on steering guards for my series 3 and it seems there are two points of view. Some say yes they are great because they protect your steering parts and others say they are actually a hinderence and dig into the groud and reduce approach angle. Have any of...

    Hub seal change

Hi all. I have changed the hub seal on the rear of my 1984 88. I have been told I need a Stub axle collar (the ring that the seal runs on), but when i took the hub off there wasn't one there in the first place. I tried fitting one anyway, but it doesn't fit (it is like fitting a spacer and the...

    Got my series 3! :)

The tyre size is 235 70 17 and they are mud terrain tyres. I will get picks up over the weekend. :D First impressions are that it pulls like a train. It has a 110 engine in it. Another point is the steering damper has been taken off. The guy said this helped minimise the tramlining, but in...

    Got my series 3! :)

Just been and picked up my series 3 swb and Im well chuffed. The only niggle is that it tramlines really badly. It has chunky off road tyres on it. Is this the likely cause of the tamlining? If I reverted back to normal series 3 tyres would this help resolve the issue? Thanks guys.

    Series 3 question

Thanks for the advice guys. It is a diesel (if I buy the one I looked at), but it is an old 110 turbo engine in it. I think I will try and get a plastic air box and make something up.

    Series 3 question

Hi all. I went to look at a series 3 today and I think I'm going to buy it this week :). I have been researching about fitting a DIY snorkel, which seems easy enough to do. My question is about connecting the snorkel to the air filter box. Do people tend to keep the original box or get another...

    Looking for a series 3

That's great advice thanks. Unfortunately I have quite a low budget, so I will be looking for a Landy with a good chassis then.

I would say mainly off-road use. Not bothered about comfort or anything like that. Something cheap to run, easy to fix and fun to drive offroad.
