All this happened after I replaced the timing guides. I will post pictures. I just checked and its both side are leaking . There is a lot of oil in the spark plug compartment cyl 1-4. I will post pictures. The valve cover may be warped or just a bad set of gasket.

Thank you! Yes I used new gaskets and I pressed into the grooves. I did use a wire brush on my dewalt to clean all surfaces. One thing I didn't do was tight the screws in sequence, which could have warped the valve cover. I did make sure the 1/4 dia hose is connect underneath and not smashed. I...

Gents when I removed the PCV there was oil on the other side of it. I replaced it with a new one along with a new gasket and transferred all fittings. Gents I'm reinstalling the valve covers on both side with new gaskets and black RTV inside the valley of the valve cover where the gasket goes...

So change the PCV first and see if that fixes the error. everything with respect to the check valve and solenoid assembly went back together with no problem.

I did the valley pan, rebuilt my lifters, new water pump, new alternator, rebuild vanos, Timing chain and guides, new tensioners, camshaft sensors, etc. I'm just going to pull off the vanos and valve covers and check the oil check valve and install a new PCV. Hopefully that will solve my problems.

Understood. This check valve did fall out when I took the cams off on bank 2 to rebuild the lifters. Perhaps I put it on wrong or perhaps its bad. I will check this.

    2004 L322 Petro 4.4L Camshaft control Bank 2 fault.

There is a oil leak on to my spark plugs on bank 1. I put new gaskets but its' still leaking. Perhaps that's causing the issue you just described. That might also get rid of a Lambda error on Bank 1 one that also start appearing. Thank you !!

    2004 L322 Petro 4.4L Camshaft control Bank 2 fault.

Anybody have any suggestions on why I'm still getting a camshaft control bank 2 fault? I installed a new sensor, had the vanos rebuilt, installed a new camshaft solenoid and retimed engine with vanos kit. The engine purrs and seems to have full power. Please advise?

Can you please clarify this statement "If you cross thread the nuts slightly you can reverse the shaft that goes into the cam bearing, but it's a bit shorter so take care"

The gaskets fits only one way I double checked them. I don't know how to check if the PCV is over pressurizing the crank case. Please advise.
