Yes, I thouhgt that might be a possibility which is why I asked the question - maybe I'll just get a tin of matt black paint from Halfords and spray them.

Thanks for replies on smartening up eyebrows - lots of ideas, it seems as if a lot of different things will work. So, I've a new tin of smooth black hammerite in the garage and I've decided to use that. Just wanted to check in case it's a big no-no for some reason unknown to me.

The eyebrow mudguards on my 1991 Defender 90 are looking a bit grey and sad - any ideas on how to smarten them up? I tried 'Back to black' which was no good. Waxoyle, perhaps - or would it be sticky? Black Hammerite? or would it crack? Cheers.
