So what do you think a fully restored Series II is worth? Possibly 4-7K or?

No, not what I plan to spend, the prices took me by surprise. For a start check the following: Classic Land Rovers for sale, series I, Series II, Series III - Land Rover centre Huddersfield So, am I missing something?

Currently have a Defender 110 but looking for a Series II. What would a fully restored vehicle cost these days? After a quick search online I have found some for £7000-£13000 which does seem quite steep, although they looked like new and were from delaers not private sellers. Don't have the time...

Planning to get my 1997 Defender 110 rebuilt/ refurbished in preparation for a trip across Europe in July and August. Any suggestions of a good company to contact (Southern England would be easiest) and what kind of cost could I expect? The vehicle is not too bad though does need some tidying...
