In my 1992 110 CSW V8?

Was trundling along this morning and saw a 110 CSW coming towards me, so I flashed and gave them a wave. I was in my other car though, wich is a toyota. They waved back! Anyone driving a black CSW110 in London at 6am this morning that had a bald bloke driving a silver Rav4 waving and...

I like what he's done with the rangie front seats :) I've found a company here, but they want more than £250 quid for the frames alone :eek:

Does anyone know if I can swap the three seperate seats from my 92 110 CSW for a single bench seat? Or any other more comfy seating options? The rear passenger, if they sit side on, has the split right up there bottom (ahem).

3.5 carb - '92. It's not for any one thing in particular, we're going away with it and will need the manual for reference in case anything falls off.

Is there any good alternatives to the Haynes manual for the V8? It's about £50 on Amazon :eek: And the only bloke who reviewed it didn't rate it too well. Just thought there may be an alternative?

Thanks all... maybe a bit overprice, but the engine and box are sweet... the leaks aren't that bad on 2nd inspection... there's a fair bit of bulkhead and sill rot, but I can live with that. May get bulkhead replaced yet.... Unfortunately there aren't that many V8 110s around, have a look...

I didn't put the milage down did i? It's got 80k on the clock. That's about book price. Is it a dog? From what I've read, people say that defenders leak oil... I've never owned one before so I don't know what a leak is and what A LEAK! is... also the door sills... is that a large amount of...

I'm looking at a 17 yr old 110. It has some issues that I'd like some advice about. It has some corrosion around the bulkhead at the sides. the front doors sills and door bottoms are rotting. there's some corrosion on one of the outriggers, but the chassis seems good, not corrosion or holes...

Ah, so I can bring it in for a short period... the part on the DVLA that says: This must be done as soon as possible as the vehicle can’t be used or kept on public roads. I thought... how can I bring it in if I can't actually drive it in. I'll give them a ring... just thought someone may...

Can I drive it in, pay the customs a cheque then get it registered with the DVLA? I can't see any simple answers on the net. I'm getting the idea that as a UK resident that I can't drive a foreign car over here without first registering it? Surely this can't be right?

Well I've been thinking... if the handbrake locks the gear box, why aren't there any security solutions out there that simply lock the handbrake? Or better still, have a removable handbrake sort of thing going on. There are handbrake\gear-lever locks for saloon cars... but the handbrake\gear...

Just checked DVLA, it's registered as Deisel! Daft cnut's advertising it as a 2.5 Petrol!

Is this right? Did Land Rover put petrol units in these cars? I thought the only petrol units in the later models were the V8s?
