Not an expert on the V6, but yes the head gasket problem is associated with the 1.8, our friends have just had to have a complete new engine after the head gasket had been repaired before. The only warning on the V6 would be fuel consumption and the ever increasing prices of petrol. 6 months...

Can you get an arm rest to replace the lid on the freelander. Seem to have seen one of these but can't remeber where, if you can where are they available from and how much??

Qwerty, I have had no replys but have found a good place, www.lrparts.net I have just bought the swept bars and roof rails, mine has 17" alloys so I am fine there, but I have noticed that lrparts have a 5 piece set on offer.
