I guess thats the compromise, if the tread is thicker its always going to increase road noise. Rather that than be in a ditch i suppose. :rolleyes: Glad to hear they are good in the snow, feel more confident about getting them now. Thanks!

its the STR's, the guy couldnt spoke very highly of them when i mentioned the snow.

Not really, the Pirelli is described as an all round/wet weather tyre.

Just got off the phone with the local tyre centre, they are recommending Pirelli Scorpion at £125+vat each. Should these be ok?
