ok to settle the argument once and for all I think an FL should go on a decent laning day with some discos/defenders/series etc. I would be up for going laning around north yorkshire with disco/defenders/series not to prove a point but just to get out lanning with like minded people im local...

some early td4 had a smaller rear silencer on as standard save hitting the back box all the time then i put jubilee clips round the exhaust rubbers tightened them up then the back box sits above the height of the rear subframe you gain about 3-4 of clearance mine is off a 52 reg td4

td4 2001 x reg is the one to go for if you want the cheapest tax and if you want to use it offroad get a auto this will save on burnt out clutches in auto form they are much better offroad but not as capable as a defender etc but alot more comfortable it all depends on what your gonna use if for

i had the same problem with mine it was 1 of the vains in the turbo sticking closed which was why it only did it higher up the rev range higher speed my local specialist took the turbo off cleaned it out it was just gunked up with carbon deposits fitted it back together runs sweet as a nut now...
