I also have an 02 TD4, it has had a conversion from a commercial. I have not used a land rover stereo I put a Sony cd radio in.

I don't know now as I had just purchased the car a couple of months ago, it had 12 months MOT so presume the horn was working. If I disconnect the stereo do you think that this will work as a test? What did you do to overcome?

The horn is not usually something that you check after fitting a new stereo. The stereo works great and I used an adapter plug to plug it straight in.

Thanks for this. I can see the CCU behind the fuse panel. So this should fit under the cowl behind the steering wheel. I have central locking off the key and a locking button below the stereo next to the rear window button. I was told by a local land rover dealer that all UK spec freelanders...
