I am looking to wire in approx 200W of spotlights. I have the front fog switch installed within the cab and was hoping to utilise this. I have done the math and 200w at 12v gives 16amps, so I need to pick appropriate cable sizes for that. Following the below diagram, it shows the positive...

I bought a gps tracker a few weeks back when I bought my Landy, just in case the worst happens and I went to wire it in this morning... lifted the passenger seat and the battery compartment lid, what the hell is that... Fixed in what space is left is a subwoofer... I thought the sound system...

Would make sense for it to be a bulb, if they are in series then one going could take the lot out and if they are in parallel then maybe one blowing led to too much going through the others and blew them??

Hmm a rivnut looks like it could work, just not sure if I have the clearance on the inside of the frame as generally only a little bit of it expands out correct? Unless that little bit is inside the frame it may not help? I wondered about just body fillering the top hole and having it held on...

Well solved one problem but found another as usual lol... got a bolt and gasket through the bottom hole, and this has sealed it seems... but the top one with the self tapper, the self tap fitting just pulled straight out. Looking at the inside there is no room what so ever to get a bolt through...

Yeh giving it a go now - leaving the paint for now purely because rain is forecast and it’s leaking like a trooper. Very fiddly job though it seems... what should take 5 mins takes an hour lol...

See attached, going to put a bolt but and rubber grommet on there for now :-) if I can get a spanner in!

Sorry probably wasn’tclear in my original post. It’s a fixing to hole the snorkel to the car

Will get a photo when I get home but basically at the top of the snorkel where it mounts to the windscreen frame, it is missing a fixture, so it’s only secured by one of the two fixings. Result of this is that there is a hole (approx 6-8mm) which goes into the cab through the frame.

So I located the worst of my leaks this morning, seems I am missing a snorkel fixing and there is basically just a hole in my body work straight into the cab... Can you buy the fixings and gaskets anywhere? Or does anybody have an old one? I can only seem to find the entire snorkel... although...

Should have said, it’s an aftermarket system I believe........

So, fitting the new interior light has led to a new problem, in that it seems my alarm and immobiliser might not be working. Here’s what I know... 1) Door switches are all good, removed them and tested. 2) No lights come on when I unlock the car - I know the lights go through the AC10 before...

Yep got that, the light I put in just uses the same 3 connectors as the normal light (which didn’t work with the doors either incidentally). But this is a 4th wire, black with no spade on the end, it wasn’t connected to anything and still isn’t...

There’s only a few bulbs in there that do the whole lot I think isn’t there? Could try replacing one or resting one?
