Yeah thats where it should be in normal driving on the road, if you put it into neutral the vehicle should not drive,( a good extra anti theft device!) and when engaged into low this should be used for low speed manouvering only and not at any high speed.

It means that your diff lock is engaged, if ya light remains on after the diff lock is disengaged you may have " wind up", reverse the car for a short distance then go forward, this should sort it if not then have it looked at. Hope that helps mate i just looked it up in my manual.

Just bought a 97 disco tdi and want to do a service on it. Now she runs great and for a diesel she pumps out hardly any smoke so i was wondering what make of oil can be recomended as i want to use the best quality i can. Cheerz.

Hi as you can probably guess by this question, Im a newbie to land rovers just got a 97 300 tdi and was wondering whats the difference between a "tdi" and a tdi "s"? any help gladly appreciated..Cheers guys.
