Don't know how old this thread is but hoping someone can help. Our freelander TD4 won't start, you turn the key. Nothing. Not even a clicking noise. Fob works fine to open/close doors and dash lights come on. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Anne

I'll pass this on to mechanic, the breakdown guy checked all the battery and tried jump starting it. Could it be anything to do with the fob/key. When you turn it it isn't even clicking, no sound at all ?

It's a TD4. It's not the battery , the breakdown guy checked all that. It opens fine with the remote and beeps when you get in. The lights on the dash come on but when you turn the key it doesn't make a sound.

Thank you for replying I read the link and that def sounds like my fault. Do u think the fact that the car is complete dead is the same fault or a different one. We have spent over 2 grand on this car this year, just seems to be one thing after the other. I'm so sick of it. Anne
