Actually i would go as far as saying the daihatsu is far superior to all range and land rovers ever made.

What a beut. Have you checked the engine nipples because that sounds as if they could be the problem.

The only problem is though i can only see one engine under the bonnet of the punto, so where will i get the required two to create my v8? and as i said i will do anything to avoid my treasured series 3 setting on fire.

After removing the engine from the punto it turns out that it is a 1.4 litre MultiAir turbo, not a V8 . Will i be able to insert it into my series 3 or not? I really should have taken the advice off here. I might just have to drive less than 40 miles an hour to reduce the chance of more...
