Serpentine Belt was screaming when cold, but stopped when engine warmed up. Put new belt on today but still doing it. Nothing siezed as I checked everything when belt was off. Any suggestions?

Just started, when the car is cold and I first start it the serpentine belt screeches like a banshee, give it a minute to warm up and its as quiet as a church mouse. Does this mean it needs a new belt?

Got to put 4 new tyres on tommorrow, Pirelli Scorpians or Uniroyal both the same price, anybody got advice on which ones to go for.

There is no cd changer in boot, the trim has no cut outs or anywhere such a unit could go, neither is there one under the passenger seat.
