Charles Is there any chance of the seat being able to move around on its own if I remove the motors completely? I have a tiny socket that's able to turn the cables without use of the motors. Cheers Ade

How long have you had the motor, and do you know it's history? I'd just change the plugs first (cheaper of the 2) and give it a go. For peace of mind though you'll be better off changing both & giving her a good old service. If it chucking out smoke you may need to check the injectors &/or...
