They don't have an injector pump. Thats why the injectors are so pricey, each one IS a pump in itself, driven off the cam shaft.

This bit has to drive not only the cam-shaft but also the high-pressure injectors. Thankfully, the engineers decided a belt would not be up for it so went back to a chain drive:D No more waiting for that nasty banging sound as the valves hit the pistons ?

All I know is I'm looking at a listing on e-bay for a set of front discs and Mintex pads for a TD5 for 50 smackers plus p&p. Island Land rovers is the seller so a genuine firm.

Sure you've thought of this, but with the TD5 the washers only operate on every third use of the windscreen washers (with the headlights on). If you switch off the headlights, the counter 'resets' itself.

So an ordinary (British and Proud) socket will remove them?

Are they really hex bolts holding on the caliper? I thought they were a TORX type bolt.:confused:

I'd stick it straight in the bin. These things, if they do anything, fool the electronics into leaving the system in cold start mode, flooding your cylinders with excess fuel leading to a totally S*****d engine. I don't think they'll work on a 200 anyway as its totally mechanical injection...
