    i could not fold the steel no matter how i tried, so i took them to a mate with a folder. he took all of the dimensions, and is now in the process of pricing up, laser cutting the flat steel , then pricing the folding if anyone is interested.

    if i have done it right there should be some pictures to see the brackets in different stages, firstly both l/h and r/h in bare metal, then etch primed, then stone chipped. could not get welded onto car today coz of family problems

    picture included is not right measurements for manufacturing as i have not allowed for folding, but it does show the horrible shape needed to cut steel too. also it does not include the hole for m8 locknut or the slot for anr2500 location

    brackets in process of being made, awaiting anr2500 bracket to arrive, to get the dimensions to drill hole, weld locknut on and make its locating slot. could take a while.

    question 1, do i drill holes in 15mm flanges on chassis side and plug weld to chassis, or continuous weld all around? question 2, do i powder coat before welding on. or spray after?

    brilliant. i have been in touch with BRITCAR and they were excellent, they took a photo of the exhaust in their stock , matched my car exactly, so have ordered/paid , and should be with me tommorrow, cost £99.95 +vat plus £25 carriage, total £ 149.94, highly recommended service.
