    classic anyone?

Hmmm, well actually i have set aside a bit of cash to have the defender modified further at scorpion racing early next year. my intention is that the defender becomes less my daily drive and more my weekend fun

    classic anyone?

yeah but the trouble is i get quite attatched to cars especially old cars and ESPECIALLY old land rovers. my judgement on whats right is poor to say the least.

    classic anyone?

I don't know really. maybe i will think again about the whole thing

besides i won't loose sleep over the rr being damaged. also there is the chassis damage to my defender to consider. it has rust enough under there, don't need to make it worse
  10. saxon101

    classic anyone?

Yeah kind of. we have a company vw toureg with pretty much everything this range has. it handles sweet. the rr has abs and air suspension that can obviously be lowered right down
  11. saxon101

    classic anyone?

Yeah but i would rather just garage it. i have put a lot of time and money into that car and don't want anything to happen. besides it seats only 2 and so to go skiing with mates it is impractical.

    classic anyone?

BFG muds. they are poop in the snow. i did start using chains but the trouble is, you are only allowed to use them in deep snow or ice so it ,means constantly putting the on and taking the off. its a pain in arse really

    classic anyone?

I live in austria and when it snows here it really snows. + its all winding mountain roads where we live and so driving conditions are poor. last year my defender was not so good. trouble is, it has a 2" lift and bloody great mud tyres. when you break it just starts to spin

    classic anyone?

The trouble is, winter is just around the corner. it will start snowing in about 2 months so need something sorted. I don't want to risk using my defender again as it was quite frankly ****e last year in the snow and ice.

    classic anyone?

Well i need some concrete voting here. should i get it???. its doing my head in. i really like it, got the price down a bit but still seems pricey but it would suit my winter needs and mean I wouldn't be risking my beloved defender.

+ it does have a fantastic service history. the last ovner actually ran out of space so started writing the detrails on the inside cover of the log book. also, he did only 5000km per year between full services.

    classic anyone?

yeah i've seen em for chump change on t'internet but it still means getting it back here and then insuring it. insurance here is baces on value not engine size. works out a lot cheaper.
  18. saxon101

    classic anyone?

Still trying to convince my self maybe i should just get a cheap little run-around instead
  19. saxon101

    classic anyone?

Even if i went back home and picked on up for half the price i still got to drive it bac over here and then buy winter tyres for it

    classic anyone?

It still seems expencive to me but it is a beauty and will have over a grands worth of winter tyres fitted. still not sure though
