Putting A/T tyres on P38, where should the better tyres go front or rear?

Well I could buy 2 new Forceum ATZ tyres to match the nearly new ones I've got but I've never heard of these tyres and they're quite cheap so I thought I'd rather have at least 2 decent ones than 4 potentially **** ones. (just to add I know nothing about the Forceums I'm just assuming)

    10w tail bulbs

I drove the opposite way up the M5 on Friday and passed a car with NO lights on at all, it was 6pm, pitch black and heavy rain and I only just noticed it in lane 1 due to a glimmer of reflection. I can't believe the stupidity of some people. It also made me notice quite how many people...

Putting A/T tyres on P38, where should the better tyres go front or rear?

That's what I originally thought Dr Evil but I wasn't sure about the back end sliding about when braking. Perhaps I'm worrying too much, it's not like they're slicks or anything, they'd all be brand new tyres, it's just the BFG would be better. Storm99 I suspect you are pulling my plonker

Putting A/T tyres on P38, where should the better tyres go front or rear?

Hi all I've purchased some 16" wheels for my P38 so I can stick some All Terrain tyres on for winter. The wheels came with 2 road tyres and 2 Forceum ATZ tyres which are virtually brand new. I plan to buy 2 new BFG AT K/O tyres to replace the road tyres. The question is should the 2 new...

Bit on the pricey side.. even so..

Cost you the same again in fuel for a year

Are mud tyres suitable for winter use and on roads?

Thanks James, think I'll have a look at some all terrain tyres instead, just trying to source some wheels with out paying an f'in forture that some breakers want.

Isn't this the most beautiful thing on earth...

I love it, perhaps I need another (although not this one)

Are mud tyres suitable for winter use and on roads?

Hi all I'm thinking of buying some wheels and winter tyres for my P38 for the coming winter. I've seen some wheels with 235/70/16 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tyres and I'm wondering if these are ok or too excessive for mostly using on the roads in winter which are mostly wet with possibly some...

    Insurance !!

Adrian Flux for me and they'll match any other quote come renewal time, I think I pay about £300 for a 2.5 DHSE fully comp with breakdown cover (I'm 36).

    Leave it..

There's a few things wrong here: 1. You f****d your niece? 2. How is her Daddy her Daddy's brother? 3. You say she's 20 something, 10 years ago that gives a her an age range from 10 to 19, I hope she's older than 26. :D:D

Bristol, Bath or Newton Abbots to South East

I'm in Congresbury (about 12miles south of Bristol) although work in Bristol. I'm travelling to South London on the evening of Wednesday 8th June if that helps. I'm travelling to Le Mans but one of my mate's Dad lives in Berkhamsted so I might be able to persuade him to take it back with...

    p38 Brake vacuum pump???

Don't worry wasn't about to spend £57 on a random piece of pipe to fix something I didn't know there was a problem with, plenty of other issues that I need to buy parts for first :). So is disconnecting the EGR something that is worth doing?

    p38 Brake vacuum pump???

I see, does it switch off (or whatever it does) when the engine gets warm so you're only adding cold air? Reason for asking is I saw someone selling some device on Ebay that claimed to bypass the EGR and improve the performance of the turbo. If the EGR only worked when engine was cold there...

    p38 Brake vacuum pump???

What does the EGR do? What's it's purpose?

Saying hi from a new member

Depends what might be wrong with it. If you do it yourself and just buy parts it's not too bad Replacing the airbags is probably about £260. A set of O-rings to refurb the valve block about £25, a new diapragm was £13 and a new pump arm was about £75.

Saying hi from a new member

Don't be too put off by reading threads on here as people usually only post their problems and not the periods of trouble free motoring. My 2000 DHSE has been running fine (touch wood) for a couple of years, I had to spend a bit on it to begin with because I didn't know enough about them when I...

What Does it Mean When Your Tyre is the Bump Stop?

I think the valve is in the valve block not on the bag but even if it all leaked out then it should just sit on the bump stops with the gap. Leaks could be where the air hose joins the bag or where it joins the valve block. I'd squitr some soapy water round the connections and see if you can see...
