Hi noticed my disco 300tdi gives out a load of white/grey smoke whe i first start it lately especially with all this rain. once it gets going the smoke ceases. Has this anything to do with the damp or maybe glow plugs?? Just had cam belt changed too. Any ideas woud be most welcome.

Hi I have an ex army 90 with a 200tdi conversion. I was wondering whether it would be a hard job fitting a snorkel as I guess the wing will need a hole cut in it Has anyone done this? Thanks

Hi i have an ex military 90 with a 200tdi engine fitted in place of the standard diesel engine. As such it has no air intake ports on the wing. Is it still possible to fit a snorkal and would it mean cutting a hole in the wing? Thanks

Blimey this has opened a can of worms. I dont think i will bother my landy goes just as well now and i have to say having spent 12 years in the army 1985 to 1997 i didn't see too many with snorkels on land rovers. It was just a thought. can we all be friends now!!!!

Yes the airbox has a tube coming out that points towards the grill

ok its the heater grill on the top. The air filter is under the bonnet its a 200tdi engine fitted to an ex army land rover hence no hole in the wing...i guess this explains it

Hi my 90 200tdi landy has its air intake on top of the wing on the left side. Would this meat cutting a hole in the wing to fit a snorkel? not sure whether fitting one could be done? any advice

Hi I have a 300tdi Disco with 112,000 miles on clock. A friend of fine says he has spotted a bit of white smoke coming from exhaust when vehicle is climbing. I regularly check the water and of course keep an eye on the temperature guage and no worries there. Could this be a sign of head gasket...

Hi found a free black connector attached to headlight loom is this for driving lights or do i have to tap directly in to the wires? Any advice here Thanks

Hi just picked up a Disco 1 A bar. Any ideas how to fit it? Not sure how to get the number plate bar off I notice this is a seperated item on the bumper. Screws just hold on number plate. This A bar is a square section type with fitted lights. thanks Tony

Hi all the seals on my rear windows are cracking. I have sealed them with black slicone but am wondering would it be an expensive job to replace them? Many thanks Tony
