it will be a 24 spline axle, i think all rangies of this age are. if the prop has broken, you dont need to strip the axle, just un-bolt the prop from the gearbox and diff then replace. what makes you think its the prop?

    Parabolics?

you can replace the bushes with polys on the larger diameter springs. if you remove the center tube and rubber leaving the outer tube of the bush, standard polybushes can be fitted!!! its not as tight a fit as they are in a standard spring but there is definitely no play.

    Parabolics?

i got my parabolics from m&m 4x4, the rubber bushes were crap and only lasted 9 months but the springs themselves are very good. i have put polybushes in them and haven't noticed any sagging over 3 years. you will need to uprate your dampers if you haven't already because the standard springs...

my lse is a 93 model. it did have memory seats but the replacement switch i got was not. i am searching for a memory seat switch, however if a set of similar colour (dark grey) manual leather seats come up first, that may be a better option. (not likely i know)

ive had a strange experience with my electric seats/mirrors. my lse came with no drivers seat switches, so i got one and plugged it in. i started to move the seat base switch and the mirrors started moving??? is this happening with yours?

    Range Rover Vogue LSE overheating...

the head gaskets are reasonably straightforward to change. just take pictures as you take things apart and label the belts as you take them off the front. if its the same as my 93 lse, it will have 3 v groove belts that are slightly different in length so it took a couple of attempts to put them...

    Range Rover Vogue LSE overheating...

have you tried back-flushing the radiator with a hose pipe to remove the blockage? (if thats where the problem is) i did this with my lse when i changed the head gaskets and alot of rusty water came out.

    Gas shocks?

opened up a pair of de carbon dampers today, they seem to be similar to our own dampers. they can be serviced and im going to fit silicone gas plugs into them so they can be re-gassed in future.

    Gas shocks?

i would recommend de carbon dampers. they hold the road well (for a land rover) i have had a look at the set of dampers on our 110 and have noticed that they can probably be opened and serviced (i work for a suspension company) they are gas pressurised so its NOT recommended without the correct...

de-cating the range yes or no

firstly, do you have either lpg or a friendly mot tester to get the vehicle through mot's with the cats removed. i have a 93 rangie which ive fitted 4 branch manifolds to replace the cats. i drilled holes and welded nuts onto the manifolds to accept the lambda sensors. these are infront of the...

    What diffs do I need

with my 900-16 tyres (35" tall ish) i have fitted to 8 spoke wheels with 56mm of offset. the only bodywork i have adjusted was the rear, shorter sections of sill by hand (a good yank outwards) and the tyres clear the bodywork with the occasional rubbing on the front wings when turning and...

    What diffs do I need

sorry if this has been mentioned already, but before any changing of diffs, try pulling off in 2nd gear instead of 1st. this will be close to the range rover diffs. if it copes, it should be a good upgrade. i have fitted rr diffs with 900-16 tyres on my 200 tdi series 3 88" (with 109 brakes and...

    3.9 into 4.2 will it go !

all that you are changing during this conversion is the block. everything else is going to be the original parts. you already have the 4.2 ecu, wiring loom etc. what you are doing with the 3.9 block (using 4.2 internals) is going to turn it into a 4.2. you should not need to change any electrics...

    3.9 into 4.2 will it go !

is the knackered 4.2 engine a serp or v groove engine?

    3.9 into 4.2 will it go !

getting back to craykent's latest question, i believe that the earlier (pre-serp) engines were stronger but you could bolt on the front end of a serp onto the earlier engine to simplify the pulleys to a single belt. this will require different water pipes, alternator etc but it reduces the no...

    3.9 into 4.2 will it go !

the efi heads are the same from the 3.5 upto the 4.6 engines so it doesnt matter which you use. they didnt even change the size of the valves! its a good idea to only use 10 head bolts per head, leaving out the outer four(if you have an earlier engine). ive done this on my lse.

    3.9 into 4.2 will it go !

the 3.9 is the same bore as the 4.2, however, the 4.2 has a slightly longer stroke and i should imagine shorter pistons. this is where the extra 0.3L comes from. you could therefore use a 4.2 crank, conrods and pistons in a 3.9 block to make a 4.2 engine. its all rover did!

    range rover classic EAS upgrade?

hi, i have changed all four springs for genuine dunlop items. i have now reset my air suspension with a cable and software i purchased from ebay. it seems to have done the job and the low button lights up when i go over 52. it raises up and lowers as it should. i am still looking to improve the...

    range rover classic EAS upgrade?

hi, i own a 1993 range rover classic LSE with air suspension. i have heard of upgrading the EAS to p38 spec where it lowers the car when you go over 50mph (an overfinch upgrade) but cant find any information on how or what to change. any suggestions???
