Hi i have been surfing the BMW320D forums.....and it appears the E47 M47 diesel engine was fitted with a pressure converter.....this allows the correct opperation of the variable vane turbo charger. Apprarantly it is highly vunerable to clogging thus giving very sluggish turbo performance...

Hi I am replacing my old head unit and want the steering wheel controls to work. It appears you have to unplug the original harness and plug a new one in ........ when I traced my harness back to what appears to be the plug assembly ....... it is in the bowels of the center consul at the bottom...

Hi thanks for reply, confused......my injectors have a T piece that clips in.......with a spring......I can't see what I would need to trim off.... When mine blows the whole T piece is forced out!!! and it blows fuel all over engine bay.....are you talking about pipes leading to and from T...

Mines on setting 2 with MAF compensation.............goes well but if I really push it over 4000rpm return fuel pipe blows off no 3 injector!!!! This little box must really boost the rail pressure............also I think one of my injectors is going leaky......will try some BG244

Hmmm there is no clear answer....best urr on side of caution ...shame really. I have used K&N for many years on other cars with no problem inc a Golf TDi ............... never re oiled my filters justy used them from factory.:o

Hi, well got it sorted ...... I bought a set of irwin extractors for £22 at screwfix...... these have a l/h spiral thread......I gave the bolt some heat .... from my propane torch then knocked on the extractor socket and bingo off she came!!!! Thank god dual mass flywheel was not...

Hi just reporting in ........ got car on ramps and elected to take sub frame off..... this helps allot.........however things that have cused me problems are the IRD coolant pipes...those clips are a pig Top IRD bolts on TD4 are evil......fotnately I had a special wriggly socket ext bar...
