I have a 2006 Freelander Td4 commercial with 150k. The car gets hard to change gear after it gets warm. There's no evidence of slipping however the biting point is low down. Is this a hydraulic problem or do I need a new clutch?

Took car to a local injection specialist and they tested the injectors. Seems one was overfuelling badly and another underfuelling. Injectors being replaced today so hopefully this will sort out my smoke and idle problem.

Have tried with the Synergy taken out to no avail. Will do a leak test and see.

I have a Synergy 2 fitted to my td4. It was already in the car when I bought it. My problem is that the last couple of days when the MAF compensator switch is on I'm getting hesitation and flat spots under acceleration. Also the car idles very rough till warmed up with some smoke on start up...

Problem solved:D Took off the prop but noise still there. Started thinking about tyres again so switched front ones left to right and noise seemed reduced. Checked one of the tyres and had uneven wear on the outer edge. Swapped this for the spare and no noise. So it's a new pair for the rear...

Ok brakes are all checked and fine. Took for a long run and the noise is still there. Also the left drum is still heating up so thinking might be that bearing? Will take off prob and check again.

Yep, know about matching the tyres and putting new ones on the rear axle. Have matching Hancook a/t tyres on the front and Michelin on the rear. The car has covered just over 140,000 miles now. One thing I did notice this morning is that the rear vcu support bearing seems to have a lot of play...
