Its a 1996 car. Yeah its a lot of odd little jobs which is fine, the 4 new tyres and new battery wont be cheap though which is a pain.

dont know.. and havent checked, its got 180k miles on the clock yeah seems so, theres bits hanging off all over, had bits added and removed and the LPG conversion as well

my '96 3.9 disco is leaking around the valve covers, i think changing the gaskets is probably the best course of action, i have a pair of cork gaskets i bought for a 4.6 p38 by accident as it had rubber ones instead, will these fit the 3.9?

it had a new boot floor before the previous owner had it, and they didnt have it long, as it was involved in an accident

came with most of a years MOT so i dont have to worry too much about that

wellllll i think i have found the cause, after checking the tyre pressures and still having the issue i popped it into the tyre shop to balance the wheels, and the guy showed me the tyre spinning on the machine... seems the very dodgy remoulds are out of shape, could see the thing wobbling all...

Thats good, i should be along then, just concoius of the fact its a petrol and has a cone filter just off the inlet manifold so any sort of deep water will see it being broken.

Had a closer look today, yes its the old EFI system. Traced the hose from the vapouriser to the inlet manifold and there isnt a filter on it only a device with wires so at a guess the injector?

i'll try to find/clean the lpg filter tomorrow, even with the full tank it still cuts out when it changes over, it will sometimes change over fine as well, very odd, i think it might benefit from the throttle body and idle control valve being cleaned if its anything like the 4.6 i had. It also...

i haven't yet had time to get the wheels balanced, noticed today that its does it when off the throttle to so may well be just the wheel balancing *fingers crossed*

Ok my v8 disco has covered 180k miles, and there's a vibration, not unexpected I guess. All seems fine at 60mph but 65+ the thing feels like its going to shake itself to bits.. and lets face it, it might well do that, the vibration is through the body/floor not really the steering. I'm going...

i'll have to locate the filter and see if i can replace or clean it, dont know a huge amount about the lpg system so may have to take it in

first time it changed over after filling it stalled, 2nd time a few miles later it continued to run, will have to see how it goes

Iv got single point injection lpg on my v8 disco, was switching over fine on the test drive and when i collected it. The LPG level got to 1 blob on the gauge and it started to stall when it changed over from petrol to LPG, restarted fine just a pain changing to N then starting it up and back...
