Hi robint, thanks for your quick reply will try that tomorrow. They look pretty corroded & i was very surprised to find them fitted instead of a normal hex head bolt.

Hi all, was going to replace my rear discs today but to my surprise found the calliper mounting bolts were of the spline variety. Can anybody tell me what size they are? Snoops

Hi all, can somebody please tell me where exactly the window lift ecu is situated? I've dropped the glove box out but nothing is obvious where the little critter is. Also my air con is not working i've checked the obvious i.e fuses but when the switch is operated neither the switch light comes...

the ignition barrel went on our 95 300tdi ordered one of flebay received it two days later, fitted on the same day everything brilliant:D

My new disco is an 300tdi auto just had the gearbox oil & filter changed & it works a treat not sluggish & very smooth changes:)

Hi all, noticed when i acquired our new disco the plastic panel right behind the selector was broken, as a result when you select any of the gears park remains illuminated in red & the rest are illuminated in green. On the odd occasion reverse might turn to red when selected, am i right in...

Fitted egr blanking plate, noticed improvement straight away.

hi redwonton, i had a similar problem with my 300tdi & believe me the thing used to squeal. Traced it to a split turbo hose, replaced the hose & noticed the difference straight away.

I would not only change the fluid but change the gearbox oil filter as well.:) Forgot to add, DO NOT PANIC! Ive just bought a 300tdi, a few issues that made me feel sick initially, but with the help from the guys on here all is well (or soon will be)

Thanks for the info Terryds/Busterbus, how long roughly does it take to replace the cv joint & would the cv joint/drive shafts on a 300 tdi be the same as as the ones on a 200 tdi? The reason being i recently stripped my old 200 tdi, again thanks for the info & any advice would be appreciated...
