A lot of people on Vw forums I frequent have been stopped for having their plates in the front screen and told by the coppers it has to be forward of the front wheels

That is fine, think the Mitsubishi evo 29 or whatever number they're on now has it at the side of the bumper. The only rules are that it has to be visable infront of the front wheels, so in the windscreen is not allowed

I was looking into getting the exact ones the op mentioned and wondered if I could run all 4 from 1 original Landrover spotlight switch (td5 age) or if I'd need a switch each pair? If anyone could shed some light (no pun intended) that would be great, and sorry to thread jack

We used to dream o livin in't lake wi all them free fish. We lived under a pebble in't middle o't road and we were greatfull

Mine has only stopped once in 3 years when it decided it didn't like diesel anymore and spat it all out over my drive. But it does seam to take a lot of preventative work to the tune of about a grand in the last 6 or 8 months but that did include a good service too
