Hi ya I bought side benches to fit but they're bl**dy uncomfortable really, I had the forward facing rear seats in my last one, the ones that fold up out of the way and apart from being rubbish [perhaps I got bad ones] they're also uncomfortable. Would I be right in thinking these are...

I used to clean them on my old split screen campers as the wheel bearing hub gaskets always leaked straight into the drums Thought I was doing the right thing:doh:

Well decided I'd have a go at my first mechanical project on the defender, worked on lots of other motors I've owned, but not this. Right it was the output shaft seal that needed doing, evident by the oil dripping from the handbrake drum and neatly sprayed in a circle round the chassis...

You clever sod, never thought of that :lol:

Landy I bought has a NAS [I think] type tow bar step fitted, it's fine only my tow ball finishes about 3"-4" too high for my trailer. I'm after a person willing to sell & post [unless living in Linc's;)] me the adjustable bit that's bolted to the tow bar, the slider bit and the pins that hold...

Just doing mine and found this useful site LT230 rear output seal replacement - Land Rover Technical Archive - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum Whenever I have fitted this type of seal I have always used some type of lubricant to help the seal slip in and not tear/rip as it's knocked home...
