Hi, done a full hpi on it, All clear, inner wing ! im going to cut a inner wing & front slam panel out of another vehicle on tuesday ! or I may just but a new one !

Well I went ahead & bought it ! £500 for it, 104000 miles, not recorded, started stripping back the damage on it today, now just looking around for the parts to repair it ! Paint code 961 epsom green - looking for a bonnet / drivers side wing / headlight plastic infills !

It's not recorded, I think £400 should fix it, the only part im having problems finding is the inner wing - I have even thought about breaking my own 300tdi & using it for the doner parts, then busting it for spares !

so why do you think its not worth fixing ?

All sorted, no problems at all, a very easy job to do, took about 5 hours in total, method used was sliding the gearbox back, alot easier than I expected. BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN !

Hi, I have just started doing the clutch fork, inside work done, props are off, I am wondering if the is enough free play on the handbrake cable in order to leave the handbrake on, when moving the gearbox back the 7" ?

Well I must admit that I would rather pull the gearbox out than the engine, I am going to tackle it tomorrow, just hope that the new clutch fork does not take to long to be delivered. He who dares wins, other option is to pay the local garage £150 to do the job.

Hi, I was driving as normal today, at a set of traffic lights, went to press clutch & it went ! no pedel, I have checked the fluid, plenty in & no leaks, tried to bled the slave cylinder, it was bleeding, still no pedel, so I have removed the slave cylinder to see if the pushrod from the slave...

I have just gone to start my 300tdi to go somewhere & strage goings on with the immobilizer - the red led is flashing like mad, then when I turn the key the red key symbol lights up on the dash & indicators start flashing - hence not turning over or starting - Seems lie everytime we have cold -...

It's now up & running again, after stripping out the centre dash, to find the spider has already been by-passed, then stripping both kick plates of & checking all the wiring & relays, still did not find the problem ! But it's now starting & stopping via the key ( for now !).

Thanks but the immbolizer light is going out, I can start the disco via putting a live direct to the starter, so the fault is between the switch / relay & starter ! I need to find the starter reley.
