All back together again, but was a pig to get started after building it back up ! Will see what it's like tomorrow to see if the problem has been cured.

The garage tried both methods on my snapped bolt to no avail, head was taken off and swapped for my spare head, even with the head off , the snapped bolt is being a pig to get out, I'm going get it on a milling machine to get it out the correct way. The bolts are hard as hell .

I had the same problem this week, if they snap on the way in you may be able to get the out with good quality left hand drill bits, if they snap on the way out you will end up taking the head off ! Mines off now and I'm putting my spare head on with all new bolts, gaskets, genuine seals etc ...

It goes from bad to worse, it's been back in the garage today to get the injector seals and washers checked, bought replacement genuine parts, now 1 of the bolts that bolt the rocker shaft down has snapped, so Im taking the head off again tomorrow ! Another head gasket, head bolts, rocker bolts...

I have renewed the air bleed valve in the filter head, along with the fuel filter, my discovery isn't fitted with the 1 way valve in the filter head so that's been ruled out ?

Fuel filter was renewed not long ago, as was the air filter, in starting to think this could be linked to the other problem it has with air in the fuel system ?

I've never had it plugged in to anything to see if there are any fault codes showing, there is no warning lamps illuminated on the dashboard, I have just tried the waste gate control bypass and tried it down the motorway, it's still surging when throttled hard.

The oil didn't seem to bad at all, there was nothing on the magnet in the pan either

Going try a new wastegate control unit on it and see if that is at fault

I'm wrong aswell, I had the wastegate checked at the garage this morning it was ok ! I have just finished changing the gearbox filter and oil _ the problem is exactly the same !

I don't think your on the right track, it's fine when it's been warmed up, it's more than likely the gearbox oil !

As for a gearbox service oil & filter I'm not sure, but I've ordered the filter kit.

im after a bit of advice regarding my autobox on my 52 plate disco, it is surging rather than changing gear when the throttle is fully pressed, kangerooing ! its ok if the throttle is incresed slowly ? any ideas
