Headlights mate, was wondering if it was stopping my indicators from working.

When I wired up a new headlight connector on my 95 disco , My dim dip relay was clicking like mad even though there were no bulbs out ? So I removed the relay and thought that was that , now don't know if it's related but I've no indicators ( see my other thread) bought a new dim dip relay...

As said above , I got mine from eBay £80 & 20 miles away.

Ok, here's where I'm up to. Checked all bulb holders , wires (no splits) fuses etc . One strange thing was my headlights on the passenger side would blow in full beam. Now the headlights work perfect ? Strange. Had a spare new dim dip resistor that I put on and when on full beam the resistor...

On my old 200 disco I had a similar problem , It turned out to be a wire on the stalk had come away from the solder. Take off the steering cowl and have a look at the stalk.

Ok, So this is where I'm up to. Symptoms are driving lights ok but as soon as I pull the lever back for full beam on inc 2 spotlights it pops a fuse . This just leaves the drivers side light with sidelight, driving light & full beam The 2 spots are off and the passenger headlight is on...

No indicators now :(

Just noticed on my disco 300 tdi(95) that the passenger side front indicator is flashing very slow & dim. The side and the rear indicator on the passenger side doesn't flash at all ? Drivers side perfect Bad earth or fuse ? Cheers

On the back of the alternator the thin wire has come away from the alternator (disco 300tdi) Haven't got time today , So just wondering if it's essential ? It's starting fine. Cheers :)

Just been out to check the water level etc ,Put a bit of antifreeze in .When I checked the bolts on the head they were all loose ? Could this have something to do with it and do they need to be torqued tight. Cheers

Thanks for all the advice , There's still coolant in the expansion tank so would you use it for a short distance ? I need my disco till I can sort out whatever the problem is.

Forgot to add that when I opened the bonnet there was steam coming from the top of the radiator ,Any ideas why ? Cheers
