Three Amigos and wheel bearings - TD5

Is the garage a LR main dealer, independant with LR diagnostics or some bloke with a spanner? It would really help to have it code read with LR diagnostics. Seems to me that most amigo issues come back to electrical failure related to SVS switch.

    plug lead swap

Cheers Ben, I guessed I would lose some skin. Do you find any improvment with the Magnecor leads? The claims they make sound good, but other people dismiss this as advertising hype and say that OE leads are just as good. I would hate to spend £100 on leads to find out that £40 leads are just as...

    plug lead swap

I seem to have a misfire on my D2 and have been advised by my LPG mechanic to change the plug leads. Hawkeye is telling me there is a problem with the O2 sensor bank 2 and misfires on cylinders 2,4,6 & 8 have been logged. I plan to change the sensor in the very near future and have looked into...

    Relocated Ecu now m+s lights?

I had m+s lights on mine a while ago. After searching on here I decided it was likely to be one of two problems. Either the xyz switch or a low battery. I decided to replace the battery as I had not had the car for long and therefore didn't know the state of the battery, although it started the...

    Tailgate window tinting...

Was going to copy an paste an article here, but its too long and involved. So have a look at the link for yourselves. As I understand it, other than the screen and two front passenger windows you can do what you like. The Law On Window Tinting | Road Tests, Auto Features Tinting also has...

The lad greased it before he put it back on. I also need some new locking nuts and a key as in its past tyre fitters have used a buzz gun on them and stuffed them. An easy job for a sunny day!

    Three Amigo's Quickie

Just had it MOT'd and there didnt seem to be any excessive play in the hubs so don't think thats the problem. Did get an advisory on the damper bush though, but that's been done so no play there now. Looks like I'll have to wait for Hawkeye - shouldn't be long - and see what it says. Thanks...

    Alloys stuck!

Lots of ideas thanks. Took it to the tyre bay today and let him have a go. He severely ****ted it with a big hammer on the inside of the tyre till it gave in and fell off. Next job is to take it off again and clean both the wheel and the hub and copperslip them before I put it back on.
