my v8 did that exact same thing but i changed the alternator to a 100 amp one from alternator mart in the back of landrover monthly an it doesnt do it anymore. is also useful for when your winching etc it keeps the winch pulling on full power

3.5 v8 origional

to make sure get somebody to watch wile u go up the hill again. at least 2 wheels should be turning. if only one is spinning then it isnt engaged

i have 4 barrel webbers and it was running at 1.5 psi but ive sorted the problem. it was the filter on the end of pump was blocked. cut it off and its now running between 4 and 5 psi. thanks for the reply

wot should the fuel pressure be on a 3.5 carbed v8

wot a sh1t hole that frickly is. check u havent had a stone dint ur rad and crush the copper and effectivly block it. this has happened to mine before. went to the scrappers got a rad and it was fine from then on

got a 3.5 90 1987 origional with edlebrock carbs and have problems with it cuttin out when i go down the motorway over 50mph up a hill. iff i put my foot down to get a little more power it just dies but if i lift off i comes back to life but slows down cos cant put ny power down. its fine off...

when driving at low speed up to 50 mph its fine on the flat. take it on a motorway and get it up to 60 or 70 its sometimes fine but if it gets a sniff of a hill and u put ur foot down a touch to get up it the engine cuts out then if u let ur foot off it fires back up again. ive taken the fuel...
