Fitting a 200tdi in me landy it had no lift pump on it and was given a new one by a mate but no instructions on which pipes go on it and to where ,this is a first time attempt for me to change a engine so sorry if sound think lol

I'm taking out my diahatsu engine and fitting 200tdi any body done this or know if it's a easy exchange ?

Hi I'm looking to take out my diahatsu engine out of my 90 and put in a 200tdi just wondering if it's a easy exchange ? I'm guessing there's a adapter plate on gearbox so is it a case of removing it ? It's a 1989 defender 90 ,would they alter engine mounts when they put diahatsu in ? And is...

No not really ,I only need to go about 2 miles then it's reading hot,think I,ll check earth ,I think I got another engine stat I could put on to test it's reading right

Yes swapped gauges it's always read normal ,I got electric fan on a switch I use but never used it much as gauge was never high

Got a 2.8td diahatsu in my landy runs very well but reasonly the temperture gauge reads hot on looking she don't seem to boil over nor lose water ,on some advice I took the thermostat out but she still reads hot ,any ideas ?
