    Possible new P38...

Ha ha. It's been running the "rad blockers" for at least a couple years now. But yeah, they will be gotten rid of. I do like the look they give it, but the insurance company wont touch them, so they have to go. Nah, aint been playing with the EAS. That was taken a few mins after getting her...

Any ideas if the codes that were read are overly bad?

    Possible new P38...

Thanks for the advice. The thing was, there is about a £10k price difference between this P38, and the L322 I would really want. Or around £2-3k difference to an L322 that I might actually be able to get shortly. But from there I would still want to get into the TDV8. The thing is, I...

    Possible new P38...

Aye, my other car is a 2013 BMW 530d, so that takes care of the economical side of driving about. This is for the "fun" motor, so a thumping huge motor with an equally large V8 is the prime candidate.

    Possible new P38...

Yes, before I had a 4.6 THOR running Romano LPG (I think). I loved it, and miss it terribly, but apparently needed a new engine about a week after I sold it. I would prefer a 4.6 THOR I'm sure, but this one is close, and I know the previous 2 owners, and it has recently had all the bags and...

    Possible new P38...

So, after regretting selling my old P38 now since selling it, I am in a position to buy another Range Rover. I went to look at P38 today, but, unlike my old one, this one has the 4.0 rather than the 4.6 engine in it. Is there much difference between them reliability wise? I mean, sure, there...

    MY2000 4.0 or 4.6?

Gents, I have the opportunity to purchase another P38. But it's a 4.0 :( I would prefer a 4.6, but I do really quite like this car, it's not perfect (but what P38 is now a days?). But it is in pretty decent condition, has a load of history, and will come with some extras that would...

18 inch Discovery 3 Alloys with 255/60/18 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros

Fitted with (4mm), 255/60/18 Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. Plenty of life left in them, several thousand miles. Bought them for my P38, but never fitted them, as I liked the ride on the 16's so much. They would need spigot rings for use on Discovery 2 / P38 and older though. These are not...

    Oh no.... BeCM gone...

Apparrently my fuse blowing issue, along with pretty much the rest of my electrical woes are to do with my BeCM. I suspected as much. So where is the best place (reasonable price, epic service), to get a replacement, or to get this one fixed? I was planning on selling the motor next year...

What's your fuel economy like in your L322 / P38?

Actually quite anal about tyre pressures, so doubt it's that. Really? Rubber and air weigh more than metal? Who knew? All I know is that, on more than one occasion, changing from a larger wheel to a smaller wheel, has seen my fuel economy increase. I always put it down to narrower tyre...

What's your fuel economy like in your L322 / P38?

I did actually say they were generally lighter and thinner (meaning width), so yes, less resistance. Smaller diameter wheels are generally narrower than larger diameter wheels, albeit not always. I have a degree in Physics, don't really need to google that. Cheers.

What's your fuel economy like in your L322 / P38?

Made no difference to me (maybe 20 miles more per tank) switching from 20's to 16's. On my A3 TDI I gained 50 miles per tank switching from 18's to 16's. Basically, smaller wheels are generally lighter and thinner, so less road resistance, and less weight so better fuel economy.
