well I thought you all should know I am going to trade for it anyway if it drives decent going to really inspect the engine sound and visually - heavily scan the transmission for faults - so if this guy approves my car better be ready to welcome me to the family - i welcome repairs and dare them...

its odd ive looked at like 20 free car fax reports on rovers ranging from 99-2001 and only 1 had a engine replaced and 1 had a gasket replaced wouldnt this engine trouble shine through on these carfax reports? granted its only 20 cars in a sea of thousands

looking at cars.com i found several of range rovers around that year and amount of miles for around 5-7k which shocked me my car only books for 7k well did 6 mos ago mainly because it has 64k miles wrenches and small repairs i could do but removing an engine or transmission wouldn't happen...

I wouldnt say I am wealthy by any means maybe $500+ monthly surplus that usually gets spent on dumb stuff - not much a of a saver - ive changed brake pads, rotors and thats about it. kinda helped a guy change a intank fuel pump once and saw how easy it was. he charged me $20 and a case of beer. lol
