What parts will you be wanting blasting aaron?

So although I haven't updated my thread on here for a while progress is still being made with the re-build, the rear end of the land rover now rolls on its wheels and we're quite happy with how it looks to be honest So a while ago I believe that 'Al203' asked about the chassis...

So it turns out the seal for the flange just needed tapping in a bit further, thought we'd messed something right up when it didn't move, thanks for giving advice with this! :)

So decided to carry on with rebuilding the defender rear axle, however after putting the new diff flange seal in the diff refuses to spin as soon as any torque is put on the bolt that holds it down We therefore put the old one back on to check but that also does it, so basically I was...

So yesterday saw a trip to pick up a load of galvanised parts and also a few new parts from paddocks Had the A-Frame arms galvanised The A-Frame brackets galvanised The bulkhead brackets galvanised The Steering drop arm galvanised The Trailing arms and Radius arms...

So before I could drop a load of parts off for galvanising on sunday, we had the trouble of tackling all the seized bolts in the swivel housing, a task that proved more difficult than ever Started with the calliper mounting bolts, drilled them to 5mm, tapped them out to 6mm then tried to...

They're the ones yes, just not sure what mounts to the hole in the front of them?

Were you viewing the forum on a mobile or tablet? on my computer the pictures shows fine but on my phone I couldn't get it to show :confused: We're hoping everything will last much longer anyway, the more time we spend hopefully the better results we'll get :o

Another thing to add, does anyone know what this bracket is for that sits on top of the chassis just behind the seatbox?

So the majority of today has been spent shot blasting even more parts so they are fully ready to take to be galvanised, I also got a couple of pictures of the extended bump-stops mounted to the chassis: And also the bumperettes mounted to the chassis, still debating whether or not to...

Not updated for a few weeks now so figured i'd update with something a little exciting, well quite exciting for us anyway! :D For the task we had planned we needed the use of the trailer, someone had very kindly loaded it with some nice axles, diffs, prop-shafts, gearbox's and a set off ramps...

So This was also bought for the land rover, with intentions of hiding a big full width intercooler behind it, its off a brand new defender with delivery miles, however its in mint condition and it would be a shame to strip it down to paint green, hmm.. maybe I'll paint the rest of the land rover...

They're not Britpart but I don't think they're anything decent to be fair, a genuine set are £9 these were only £2 which probably explains it
