pvc seats 3 door 03 reg

From 2003/4 they did a kind of a rubber/vinyl combo - my 2004 auto has it. It's comfy and looks well, but is starting to crack slightly on the drivers side, mainly due to me getting in ar$e fist (being tall and all). The main sections have little rubber nubs that are good for stopping you...

Would a 10p piece here do the same job? Are they about the same size?

    04 TD4 Loss of Water.

Coolant filler/bottle might be a place to start - they're prone to cracking (not catastrophically, but small tiny cracks). Does it on mine, plan to replace it one day, but in the meantime I just keep an eye on it and top up. (It's probably good practice to have a look under the bonnet every so...

:D Not sure how you did the above or how anyone has missed the above quote!

    Turbo pipe.

Yeah I'd think if it were turbo hose it'd be spitting out black smoke even without flooring it. Could be a minor split tho - has it had a service recently, might be worth a filter service. The hoses are easy enough to locate - they look a bit like radiator hoses (but perhaps a tide bit wider)...

Uneven tyre wear - front left wheel

No no, had it while, 2 years now - as far as I'm aware it's not been kerbed - mind the missus does drive it sometimes:D I'll have a look again at the weekend - thanks for your input!

    Tyre Advice Pls...

It's an FL1 - sport model 18" wheels as standard - you could be right about the offset.

Uneven tyre wear - front left wheel

So what we're saying is that alignment is likely to be fine - but roll bar bushes are worn? Can this happen on just one side? Must I replace all roll bar bushes (how many are there?) Is this likely to just be the bushes or the drop link section? Cheers N

    Tyre Advice Pls...

Is this true? Mine has 235/65/18's on it. It came with 235/60/18's (Sport model if that makes any difference) as standard and was advised that going to 65 from 60 was fine - I've had no problems (I think) with the shock coil. (Although I do have uneven tyre wear on the front left I'm assuming...

Uneven tyre wear - front left wheel

Thanks Andy - I'll have another look at the track rod ends this weekend - they don't appear split or perished (just compressed) but both sides look the same and one side is fine on tyre wear and there's nothing noticeable at the wheel so I'm assuming it's just an adjustment that's necessary...

    Chipping my TD4

You shouldn't notice warning lights on the dash if fitted correctly (by correctly I mean putting the electrical connector plugs in the right way round). The standard TD4 feels weak and underpowered - with the Synergy unit it'll seem like a different car at first - IMHO it'll drive like it...

Uneven tyre wear - front left wheel

Had a go at the front pads this weekend and noticed that the passenger side front wheel is wearing unevenly (on the inside). All other wheels are fine. Is this likely to be a tracking issue? Is the toe in/out adjustable on FL1's? Is it something that needs specialist equip (i.e main dealer) or...

    Speaker Upgrade

Sorry but I'm confused here Sean, what's Darmain posted that's wrong? Surely it'd be better to explain it rather than say "it'd take ages lol" - that way if he is wrong he learns and we do too? In Post 13 you've asked for further explanation and appear to have got it from blackjack - only fair...

    Speaker Upgrade

Another option could be the Harmon Kardon speakers (if the existing ones are standards, perhaps the HK ones would rate better?) Ebay may be a suitable source.

    Speaker Upgrade

This thread appears to have gone a bit "audiophile" - some interesting stuff, but it's not helping DVse with his speaker question. Can I just ask (as FL speakers do have a tendency to get wet:p) did they all go at once? Do they still make a noise (distorted) or are they silent? Have you checked...

    Advice regarding sale of Freelander

I'm not surprised you're ****ed - Gordon's fuel and road taxes have pretty much wiped out the used 4x4 market. I paid 10k for a low mileage 2004 td4 sport auto sw back in early 2007 - 2 years later I'd be lucky to get 3.5k for it. Like many others on here I'm resigned to the fact that my...

    Freelander Sport Alloys

I think these sport alloys make the F/L look beefier - however the tyre's aint cheap for em 18in 235x 60's if I recall? Again ebay may be the place to look at tyre renewal time.

    TD4 Remap- Wow!!!

Welcome Skippy - I'm clueless as to what the difference between a remap and an tuning module such as RR's is. I have a RR synergy and it really does make a big difference to the standard TD4 - how it does it exactly I don't really know I always thought that it was in effect a form of portable...

    flashing lights

Agree with Darmain it sounds very much alternator related. If it's any consolation I doubt very much that your servicing caused the problem.....Unless of course you managed to spill something on the alternator??? (TD4 oil filter is very close to the alt - not sure about 1.8.
